Dick Mills worked with Delia at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and helped her realize the original Doctor Who theme.
In the early years, he and Delia Derbyshire were the "soundsmiths", the others were "tunesmiths". "Delia was manipulating recorded sounds, but in a musical way," Mills explains. "I lent engineering support to her more musical creative talents."[1]
