The [[BTR/2]] was a quarter inch mono tape recorder manufactured by EMI.
It was one of the two main recording machines that Delia used at the Radiophonic Workshop, as “<I>the big machine for mastering on</I>”,<ref>Delia in the [[Radiophonic Ladies]] interview.</ref> the other being the similar [[TR90]].

It ran at 7½ and 15 inches per second<ref>[[DD155144]]: List of BBC Radiophonic Workshop facilities in Workshop 2 in 1963.</ref> and part of [[Science in the Shadows]] was recorded on it at 7½ i.p.s. and replayed at 15.<ref>[[DD161018]]: Delia's handwritten notes for [[Science in the Shadows]].</ref>
